3 Days/2 Nights Samburu National Reserve

Day 1: Nairobi - Samburu National Reserve

Depart from Nairobi in the morning by road driving across the equator from the Southern to the Northern Hemisphere, and onwards to the semi-arid region of the Samburu Game Reserve. Samburu is known for its unique species like the Gravy’s zebra, the long necked gerenuk among other species. Arrive at the lodge/camp in time for lunch, followed by a siestabefore you depart for an afternoon game viewing drive. Return to the lodge/camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Full Exploring Samburu

We start our day at dawn when dawn breaks exploring the Ragged and semi desert park. Once inside the park there are two mountains visible Koitogor and Ololokwe. The natural serenity that is evident. Bird watching, hiking and Game viewing is highly favorable with the likes of dik-diks, native gerenuk, grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe and Beisa Oryx. The EwasoNg’iro also empties into the famous Lorian Swamp where you also get to witness Nile crocodiles swimming or basking in the river. We also take a Cultural tour of the local villages and local community who live around the park and experience their authentic culture and indigenous lifestyle which is also a good opportunity to purchase Samburu souvenirs, art and collectibles. All meals are served at the lodge/camp. Return to lodge/camp and overnight stay.

Day 3: Samburu – Drive to Nairobi

For your final day in Samburu National Reserve, an early morning game viewing drive is planned for you. Return to your lodge/camp for breakfast and afterwards check out of your lodge/camp. Depart by road back to bustling Nairobi arriving mid afternoon.
